A CASED 14-BORE PERCUSSION DOUBLE-BARRELLED SPORTING-GUN WITH ROUNDED ACTION, serial no. 2106,
circa 1860, with twist-iron 30in. barrels, the broad, flat top-rib signed 'WITTON & DAW, 57 THREADNEEDLE STREET, LONDON', radiused rib-end at muzzle with silver bead, scroll engraving to rib-end at breech, engraved white-metal vented plugs, fully borderline and scroll engraved top-tang with raised carved block radiused in a similar fashion to the muzzle, rounded border and scroll engraved bar-action locks signed 'WITTON & DAW', radiused hammer breasts, chequered walnut half-stock with engraved iron furniture (some small cracks behind, right lock, missing ramrod throat and one thimble), complete with its white-metal mounted ebony ramrod, together with a period mahogany storage case lined and compartmented in green baize and fitted with a 'George Daw' trade-label (worn)
